> Heritage Day Flanders (11-12/09), City centre and surroundings
All the famous and not-so-famous patrimony of Flanders opens its doors for the general public. But it is not just monuments that are in
the spotlights, also archaeological sites and landscapes occupy centre stage. Not only can you admire some of Flanders’ most exciting
heritage, but there are also loads of activities, for young and old, presented to you as well (this includes exhibitions, walks, bicycle tours
and much more). Every year we highlight one specific topic. This changes the wide variety of activities we offer you every year and it also
makes sure that Open Monumentendag will never cease to amaze you. And what is more: all the visits and activities during Open
Monumentendag are free of charge!

and ambitious cultural festival.

collector and the interested day tripper time and again.
> Jazz Brugge (30/09 - 03/10), De Werf
This famous festival introduces for the 5th time qualitative European Jazz. This years theme is Central Europe.

> Luc Tuymans: a Vision of Central Europe (22/10 - 23/01/2011), city centre
Luc Tuymans, universally regarded as one of the world’s leading contemporary artists, is both the driving force and source of inspiration
behind this truly exceptional programme parading the plastic and performing arts.
> Van Eyck to Dürer (29/10 - 30/01/2011), Groeninge Museum
The Groeninge Museum brings Jan Van Eyck and albrecht Dürer together, presents their famous and not so famous contemporaries
and displays a plethora of paintings, sculptures, manuscripts, drawings, prints and engravings.

> December Dance (01-12/12)
The productions of this international dance festival take place at various locations in Bruges. The festival highlights the contemporary
dance scene, and features dance legends from across the world as well as up and coming young talent.
