Housekeeping
All honour to the emperor! That's what our predecessors in
1799 must have thought when they designed a grand staircase and a
stained glass window for Napoleon Bonaparte. But Napoleon paid
little attention – in fact, he didn't even show up. But we still
think of him every day.
Polishing 53 swans? That's a daunting task. But for us, the
housekeeping team, keeping the grand staircase immaculate is simply
a matter of pride. Just pinch a tasty Napoleon Bonbon, a boiled
sweet with a sour tang, from the reception, and we're up to it
again.
Strange. An unslept bed. From one day to the next. The French
lady hasn’t checked out, or did she? As chambermaid in a hotel you
shouldn’t really ask questions. But still.
I found the answer a few days later in the guest book. “A beautiful
romance started in this wonderful hotel in Bruges. The start of a
long and happy life for us.” Lovely, no?
Impeccable cleanliness!
Many hotels worldwide tend to forget the basic principles of a good hotel, namely "friendliness" and "cleanliness". Back to the basis! At Hotel Navarra we are proud to confirm that those key issues are top priority all along the hotel. Most probably that's why we receive so many positive comments from our customers, about our staff and more specifically our housekeeping department.

The Housekeeping Manager has a crucial position within the hotel. Cleanliness is for sure one of the key factors of a successful, well-managed hotel. Our Housekeeping Manager has a huge responsibility supervising our largest in-house department. Continuously checking every minor detail is one of the daily challenges!
