Former 'Cultural Capital City of Europe'... only 45 minutes away from Bruges!

As well as Bruges in 2002, Lille was more recently elected as 'Cultural Capital City of Europe' (in 2004). Two former Cultural Capitals within a distance only 60 km from each other is really exceptional. So, while staying in Bruges, why not consider making a daytrip to Lille?
