Jan van Eyck (1390-1441) and Albrecht Dürer (1471-1528), the Flemish and the German master, two giants at a turning point in western art history. The Groeninge Museum brings both men together in a prestigious exhibition. More than ever it will become clear what a shock the Flemish Primitives caused in the rest of Europa. For the first time ever their influence on their eastern neighbours will be shown.
